On the first Sunday in August Spelthorne archers held it’s championships and this year 15 people took part.
A very hot day with light winds was the order of the day , shame more members could not have joined us but those who did enjoyed a great days shooting.
As well as the championship there was a handicap competition and the novice cup to shoot for, these were shot over a number of different rounds regardless of bow type.
Well done to all those that took part and congratulations to those who walked away with medals and trophies.
I must apologise to Mr Peter Green for smashing his arrow when i made an awful shot into the 7 at 80yards which resulted in a bounce out for me and a very curly arrow for him.
I must also thank him for the placement of his shot as it allowed me to shoot again and score a nine.
